SYDNEY LIGHT RAIL FULL SERVICE RESTORED

Sydney Light Rail services are again operating to full frequency from Central to Dulwich Hill.

Services were partially suspended between Lilyfield and Dulwich Hill following a power supply issue at Lewisham West substation.

Tony Ralph, Light Rail Implementation General Manager, Transdev Sydney, said, “Engineering and maintenance crews have worked around the clock to investigate the network issue.

“A computer supply component was found to have been the cause of yesterday’s substation failure.

“This component has been replaced and both the substation computer control system and network have undergone extensive testing and verification to ensure services can restart safely and reliably.
“We thank our loyal customers and local residents for their patience and understanding, while we rectified the issue.
